If you play on a daytime ladies’ league, then you know the home teams like to serve up a delicious spread. Some teams belong to country clubs that serve goodies from the club kitchen. And the rest of us BYOG (Bring Your Own Goodies).
Here in Houston, it’s strawberry season for about 9 months. So I take full advantage and bring them often when I’m assigned to bring the goodies. One of my favorite strawberry treats are these creamy Strawberry Poppers. Believe it or not, this is a low-calorie snack that tastes like oh-so-decadent strawberry cheesecake. I make it with a handful of ingredients, so it’s a cinch to whip up, and it’s less than 150 calories per serving!
They’re super simple to make, too. Just core the strawberries, add the filling, and top off with some sliced almonds. You’ll have a yummy treat that will have everyone asking for the recipe!
These Strawberry Poppers are topped with sliced almonds, but you can get creative and use blueberries, dried cherries, chopped cashews, crushed graham crackers, a sprinkle of granola, or a few chocolate chips. These make a great snack for a Wimbledon-themed party, too!
But don’t just take our word for it. Give these low-calorie Strawberry Poppers a try and let us know what you think! Your feedback is valuable to us, so please don’t hesitate to leave us a rating and comment below. We can’t wait to hear from you!
