She has an awesome YouTube channel – Play Tennis. Practice Yoga. – with tons of tennis-specific yoga instruction and mental tips to help get and keep you at the top of your game!
In this video, Margit demonstrates a simple technique that is helpful for getting centered before tennis play, during play, and on changeovers, and for all-around improvement and focus for your mental game.
This technique uses 12 touches on the left hand. The thumb (starting at the center of the ring finger) hits all the rest of the spots on the other four fingers in a very specific pattern. Practice with eyes opened or closed, by setting a number of completed pattern repetitions or by setting your smart timer for a set amount of time. Feel free to count, or take a breath with each spot, there’s no wrong way to practice!
