These days, the ability to customize our gear is widely available. We can design and personalize our own athletic shoes, t-shirts, and hats online…and now, we can customize our tennis rackets! Just check out the Wilson Custom Racket Shop that allows players to design a performance tennis racket to their personal specifications.
“We built this dynamic and completely new customization experience to put the player in control of how their racket looks and feels, so their equipment expresses who they are on court.”– Hans-Martin Reh, GM, Racquet Sports.
Players can choose a Wilson Pro Staff, Blade or Burn model that best fits their style of play. They can then customize their racket by selecting from a wide variety of options, including different finishes, frame colors, color options for the three and nine o’clock positions on the racket, and multiple options for decals, grommets, bumpers, logos, model names, metal letterings and grips. Additionally, players can also add a unique message or name to personalize it. It is SO badass!
The customization process is pretty easy, and you’ll likely lose track of time as you play with the perfect color combinations. One thing to note is that something this racket awesomeness takes a while to create, so you’ve got to check your patience – it will take around six weeks before it ships. I think it would be worth it though, don’t you?
